Beautiful Espaço Arroios was once more the space that hosted an immersive workshop that I had the pleasure to co-create with Raaheel, a wonderful and creative sitar singer and musician that I met some years ago ♫. He has had the privilege of performing for king Charles and Camilla, the late sitarist Pandit Ravi Shankar as well as other famous names such as Pandit Birju Maharaj and the critically acclaimed Akram Khan. Raaheel has been living in Portugal for 2 years now and he hopes through his music, to represent the rich heritage of Indian classical and spiritual music.

The candlelight event was a lyrical and meditative experience through the power of sitar music, transcending different states and emotions, while incorporating some Yin Yoga relaxing postures for heart opening and chakra activation. The smiles and relaxed faces of all the participants as well as the warm feedback regarding the workshop were a beautiful ending for this experience that we hope to repeat soon. And finishing with the thoughts of the day, as a representation of autumn change and transition: Everything that we seem to have lost comes back in a different way, form or shape.
